Juniper's Bathroom

We remodeled Juniper's bathroom with the help of Pinterest.  The builders grade oak cabinet we primed with primer the previous owners left and painted with a blue/ grey/ green paint I picked up in the returned paint from Home depot for $7.00. I am going to get knobs soon to finish it out. I paid 16.99 free shipping for the shower curtain from Target mobile. Evidently they have products specifically for their mobile app. Towels and rug cost me total $23.74 I got them with a Cartwheel deal at target they had last month. The shower hooks were the ones we had from the old apartment. I purchased art supplies for 10.63 these will be used later once we get all of the supplies I still need tape and need to make a stencil. The aqua vase was clearance at Target for 3.48. We chose a light grey to paint the bathroom purchased at Dwyer ' s hardware.  We had received a buy a gallon get a gallon free coupon welcoming us to the neighborhood and I went during their summer paint sale.  2 gallons of paint and a brush cost us $24.00. We purchased a shelf for behind the toilet but it was cracked. We will post another project pick when it's final touches are complete.

More new furniture

Mat being quite the handyman has made yet another piece of furniture for the house. I love it! This was made out of re claimed wood.

Half bath before

This is our half bath. We bought the house and did nothing to the room except clean it and put a rug and towels in there. I am so ready for a coat of paint and Jazz in up a bit.

Fun saturday

This morning was a Junie fun morning in the middle of doing laundry. We went to Dwyers Hardware and got the rest of the paint we needed for Juniper's bathroom.  Juniper really liked looking at the colors and watching the paint cans shake up the colors.  We then went to the park for sliding and playing in the choo choo train. A nice trip to the library to get a few books,  then painting with our Lil friend Audrey.

New School year

Juniper has moved up to her new daycare class. In her new room she will be with 2-3 year olds with good verbal development. This is the room for potty training, using please and thank you, and developing math skills. We will be getting some learning toys for her to use for sorting, counting, and patterns.

Zoo time

In honor of my birthday we went on a family zoo trip. We had such a great zoo trip and probably the best one we have had.

Projects

We have 4 house projects going on right now. We are currently getting all of the decor and paint picked out for all 3 of the bathrooms. It looks as though Juniper's bathroom will get to start first. We already have the shower curtain rugs, and paint picked out and purchased.  I just started shopping for the decor items and have 2 things bought. We will be doing a craft project with Juniper's art work for in there and need to get a different mirror and some shelves before we get started. We will be using the mirrors from the half bath and Juniper's bathroom in the master bath remodel.

The last project is finishing up the final look for the living room and fine tuning what we have already completed. A few  tweeks to the curtains, a longer shelf behind the TV, filling the cubby bookshelf with fun stuff and getting something to put behind the brown couch on the wall, and a lamp are just a few of them. We are also going to buy an area rug for the living room which we already have picked out.

Current goal is to have those done by the end of September, weather and money permitting.

Down with the sickness

So our little germ carrier Juniper brought us home that awesome Roseola virus. Mat came down with it first then me on Saturday. I reached temperature of 104.5. This was not a pleasurable experience. We did some major sanitizing disinfecting yesterday and aired the house out last night. I plan on opening the windows more.

Juniper woke up for her daddy with a nice little rash after her fever last weekend. Hello Roseola.

Shazbots!

This weekend London had its annual Rib and Jazz fest. This year they had Saturday morning entertainment for the kids. So this is Juniper's first concert. 3 years ago Juniper was conceived after the Rib and Jazz fest also. She danced in her seat and in the street.

Library

We went on our first trip to the London Public Library today. Junie had fun reading books with mommy. We were not able to check any books out since I didn't have a piece of mail with our new address so I could get a new library card. Mommy failed.

Juniper's Closet

This weekend was the organize and pull out the next season stuff weekend. Buying ahead at yard sales and clearance sales is hard work. I made a list so I know what she is still going to need. When we were moving in I decided rather than getting myself a fancy closet organizer we would get Juniper one. She no longer has a dresser in her room which means more play space.

Jewelry Organizer

Mat made me this jewelry organizer to hang in my walk in closet. I can't wait until I can paint and finish up the room. We are currently picking colors for the half bath and Juniper's bathroom. We are running into problems finding a shower curtain for Juniper's bathroom. Our goal is to plan for a bathroom to work until she is a tween.

New Friends for our New Home

This is Audrey our neighbor's daughter. She is 18 months old. This is her first time over to play with Juniper. I think they will be friends for a long time. Juniper did really well at sharing her toys.

Mornings

Mornings aren't usually fun around here during the week. Juniper gets up at 5:45. She is like me that she may be awake but wants to lie in bed until she is really awake. So every morning I get her up lay her in my bed so she can wake up before I start throwing clothes on her. This is her this morning looking extra pitiful.

Family Binder

We are starting our household binder. First project is home inventory. I contacted our Homeowners Insurance company to see if we need pictures of ever item. The response was nice to see. We need a list of serial numbers for electronics appliances and itemized valuable jewelry with appraisals if possible. The rep also said to just take pictures of each room from different angles for furniture and decor.

Going to have to do all of these this summer.

Family Date Night

We had a rough week I thought I got food poisoning from Bob Evans on Sunday, turned out to be a stomach flu. Mat came home from work sick on Wednesday and called on Thursday. So tonight we went to dinner at Der Dutchman and a trip to Whole Foods. Here is Juniper sitting in the carriage.

First times

Today we all went and took a visit to Grammy ' house. After a fun time playing with Grammy's new kitty we went to the  park and fed bread to the ducks and geese for the first time. After we left grammy we went to our first trip to the book loft. Juniper got 2 Spot flip books.

I bought Junie a broom and dust pan
Since she likes to play with mine. Today I dressed her in a grey heather polka dot skirt from Carter's bought by Junie's MeeMaw for her birthday,  yellow t shirt from Granimals,  and Michael Kors.  She cleaned up her toast crumbs from breakfast. Such a good little girl.
